If you need a more formal introduction, I graduated with a degree in Political Science and French, with an International Relations certification, specializing in Middle East Studies, as well as a secondary Ed certificate. I used this degree to teach middle school math before joining the publishing world, where I do my best to help authors find their voice, while continually re-discovering the joy of writing. If you need a more formal introduction, I have a B.A. in English from Idaho State
University. I’ve been published in magazines nationally, including Highlights for
Children. I was the editor-in-chief of a bride magazine for two years where I learned
the importance of writing the things that interest me which, coincidently, is not
weddings. I was chosen for a Pitch Wars mentorship in 2018 for my MG Fantasy
novel, The Curse of the Passkey. I signed with an agent and went on submission to
the Big 5 publishing houses. I learned firsthand that a lot of publishing is about luck
and timing, and I guess it wasn’t my time but I still love that book. I’m an Author
Accelerator Certified Book Coach. I’ve taught writing at conferences including
Storymakers and Snake River Writers and love helping writers discover their own
process so they can enjoy a long and sustainable writing careers. Megan@WaypointAuthors.com
